Every summer Pittsburgher’s gather in the Bloomfield neighborhood for the iconic Little Italy Days. Food, music and fun can be found up and down Liberty Avenue.

“Our Lady of Liberty” represents the hope and the dreams of everyone who has come to America in search for liberty and justice. It’s a painting about hope for today and the promise of tomorrow.
You’ll find several Pittsburghers represented in this painting, including: Andrew Carnegie who gave the gift of libraries and music halls; playwright August Wilson, who chronicled the African-American experience in his remarkable plays; and Mister Rogers, who taught generations of children to believe in themselves and take care of each other.
